WHY CHOOSE AHMED LAW?

If you are charged with a criminal offense, your career, reputation, and future are at stake. You do not need an inept lawyer adding to your stress. You need a problem solver with the ability to put out the fire. Come meet with me and then decide before you perhaps make a tragic mistake of hiring the wrong lawyer. People have been wrongly accused and convicted of crimes and many of them are sitting in prison because they had ineffective counsel.

OVER 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE

As a former federal and state prosecutor, I have conducted numerous federal and state jury trials. I was a federal prosecutor in Florida and served as Criminal Chief for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington. As Criminal Chief, I supervised 25 other federal prosecutors. I was also a state prosecutor in North Carolina and Georgia, and vigorously defended my clients in the U.S. Army as a member of the Trial Defense Services. I have argued over 20 cases to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which is one of the toughest appellate divisions in the country. I have written and responded to literally thousands of federal and state motions. With me, you will get superior legal service from a lawyer with years of experience.

I Can’t Guarantee A Win, But I Guarantee A Fight.

The difference between good lawyers and bad lawyers:

EXPERIENCE

Any lawyer can have experience. If you work long enough anywhere, you get experience. What’s important is whether your lawyer has the meaningful and applicable experience that will directly help you in terms of your defense. Whether you are charged with a drug or violent felony, a firearms offense, or a white-collar fraud case, I have the relevant extensive experience you need to put yourself in the best position whether we proceed to trial or plea.

WORK ETHIC

In terms of work ethic, many lawyers won’t go the extra step unless you pay them for it. My work ethic is a built-in mechanism that you won’t pay extra for—it’s there from day one. A lawyer has a duty to be prepared and shouldn’t charge extra for that preparation. I painstakingly review your case and then provide you with options based specifically on the evidence.

ABILITY

Ability is where most lawyers fail. The ability to think quickly to make effective arguments before a judge and jury is a skill that comes with practice. Some lawyers pretend to have real-life experiences based on something they read in a book, then incorporate these stories and pass them off as their own life experiences. Effective arguments are not made by quoting well-known phrases and using fancy words. They are made by an expert lawyer with years of experience.

I offer flat-rate pricing to ensure transparent and fair billing.

Believe me—paying an hourly fee will cost you more. With me, you will go in knowing what it will cost to defend your case. The amount you pay depends on the complexity of the case. A murder charge or a federal Title III wiretap will certainly cost you more than a simple drug possession charge because it involves more discovery, requiring numerous court appearances, filing numerous motions, and trials that could last weeks to months. It may take me a few days to make an assessment because each case is different, but you will know the cost upfront, and you will not sign a single contract until you are comfortable.

My job is to give you the best advice and ultimately it will be your choice whether you want to proceed to trial, negotiate, or plead guilty. If we go to trial, expect a fight. Expect that we will meet many times to prepare you and witnesses for their testimony. Expect that I will file every reasonable and plausible motion. On a fixed fee basis, you don’t have to worry about the length of a phone call or what the next motion will cost. You won’t be nudged into pleading guilty if the evidence does not support such a plea. Pleading guilty would be solely your decision and such a decision would have to be supported by the evidence and may result in a lower sentence. It’s my job to present the best evidence to the court in order to mitigate any potential sentence.
